Our Journey SkyVerdant was founded in 2020 by landscape architects and environmental engineers united by a vision: to transform Pakistan’s urban skyline through sustainable green infrastructure. Rapid urbanization has left our cities with dwindling green cover, higher temperatures, and poor air quality. Traditional landscaping couldn’t scale vertically—and rooftop spaces remained underutilized. Our multidisciplinary team—registered with the Pakistan Council of Architects & Town Planners (PCATP) and certified by the Pakistan Horticulture Development and Export Company (PHDEC)—combines expertise in structural engineering, irrigation technology, and native plant ecology. We adhere to ASCE guidelines for rooftop load analysis and ASTM standards for green-roof substrates, ensuring safety and longevity. SkyVerdant operates on three pillars: Ecological Benefit, Technical Excellence, and Community Impact. Ecological Benefit comes from planting native, drought-tolerant species that support pollinators and sequester carbon. Technical Excellence ensures each installation—from modular tray systems to hydroponic vertical panels—is optimized for wind loads, waterproofing, and root management. Community Impact involves training building managers and residents in green-roof care, creating local “Green Ambassadors” to sustain and expand our projects. Since launch, we’ve completed over 50 projects across Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, and Rawalpindi, covering more than 10,000 square meters of rooftop space. Our flagship project at Bahria Town Lahore—an 800 m² rooftop garden—reduced building energy consumption by 18% and lowered ambient rooftop temperatures by 6 °C. SkyVerdant isn’t just landscaping; it’s a movement to reimagine urban resilience and well-being in Pakistan’s cities. |
